Ved Campbell Maddison is a growing content creator, he is posting his content on Instagram @vedmaddison
About
Ved was born in Durham, England, to a British father and a Naga-Punjabi mother, Ved’s roots are beautifully diverse. He spent his early childhood in Goa before moving to Mussoorie for boarding school, eventually pursuing a degree in Business & Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden.
Social media journey
Ved started creating content in February 2024, and like most creators, he started small. But it didn’t take long for things to pick up. One reel went viral, and suddenly, he had his first 25,000 followers.
“That one moment changed everything,” Ved shares. “I started getting noticed, made new friends in the creative world, and got to connect with so many people I’d only ever seen online before.”
It wasn’t just about the numbers. For Ved, content creation became a creative escape, especially after a few slow months in Mumbai, where he had moved in 2023 to pursue acting. Though he landed two major TV commercial roles in September, the industry can be unpredictable, and that’s when content became his constant.
Ved’s content is a blend of humor, creativity, and his own take on everyday experiences. And while he doesn’t let negativity get to him, there are some things he refuses to ignore.
“I won’t tolerate racism or Islamophobia in my comments. Especially when Indians use the n-word, it’s become an awful habit among urban youth, and it needs to stop.”
As his audience grew, so did the opportunities. One of the most unreal experiences? Being flown to London by Amazon Prime to attend the Heads of State premiere.
“It was insane,” he says. “We got to meet the cast, attend the press junket, do cool activities, get freebies… and best of all, I met creators from around the world. It was a moment I won’t forget.”
He even reached out to the director of Triangle of Sadness after watching the film, and got a reply.
“It’s crazy how many doors open when you have a platform. And yes, even if it means paying ₹639 a month for a blue checkmark,” he adds with a laugh.
Ved is still figuring things out. Content creation, after all, can be unpredictable. But he’s optimistic.
“It’s inconsistent, yes, but it’s fun, creative, and has the potential to be something big. I’d love to explore more, maybe do podcasts, interviews… just take things as they come.”
Whether it’s a viral reel, a campaign abroad, or just a funny act that makes your day, Ved Campbell Maddison is proving that with a bit of courage, creativity, and connection, the internet can take you places.
And for Ved, it’s only just the beginning.
