Social Media Journey
Samraddhi began posting films to YouTube in 2016, where she previously made DIY and lifestyle videos. After a year of consistency, Samraddhi got 100 followers on YouTube which made her extremely thrilled. She reached 1000 subscribers a year later, in 2018, and a few months after one of her videos, “School Morning Routine” blew up and received over 100,000 views, increasing her channel’s subscriber base to 10,000. Samraddhi had the opportunity to work with a number of well-known companies, including L’Oreal, Amazon, Unacademy, and many others.
During the time of Covid, Instagram launched their new feature called “Reels”. “Although I was already posting photos on Instagram, I thought of trying Reels. People began to watch my reels and enjoyed my humorous videos. I feel like I could be myself. I eventually got a chance to work with Unicef in 2020 for a campaign and again in 2021 for World Children’s Day and became a content creator for the youth in Unicef India later.” says Samraddhi.
This was a big opportunity for her. Just a few months later, Samraddhi started having constant fever and her health started declining. Later she got diagnosed with Tuberculosis. She became very inconsistent on Youtube and Instagram and wasn’t able to post anything. Samraddhi was also going through an emotional phase in 2021 and 2022 due to personal and health issues. But she decided not to give up and started making videos again and she became stronger. Her health improved and she started feeling better.
Samraddhi hit 30,000 followers on Instagram and got invited to the Meta Creators meetup. People started to recognise her on the streets. She eventually hit 70,000 followers on both Instagram and Youtube. I started my own venture ‘Sam Study Station’ where I focus on study and career advice.
In 2022, Samraddhi was invited to the Unicef’s event where she got to meet Sachin Tendulkar and Ayushman Khurana. “I am an activist for environmental rights. Through Sam Study Station, I want to focus on SDGs 4 (Quality Education) and 13 (Climate Action) and make it something big” – says Samraddhi.
